“Preserve the Environment 2012” Competition
Wataniya Telecom has recently sponsored Movenpick Hotel & Resort Al-Bidaa’s recycling competition under the title “Preserve the Environment 2012” which was organized in co-operation with The Public Administration for Private Education, Ministry of Education. The competition took place on March 24th at the Movenpick Hotel & Resort Al-Bidaa’.
Wataniya’s sponsorship comes in line with its vision to promote long term-initiatives aimed at highlighting environmental issues that have an impact on our daily lives, and to find ways in raising awareness and finding solutions to these issues. “Preserve the Environment 2012” event included a press conference and an exhibition which showcase the students’ contributions.
Wataniya Telecom awarded winners with valuable prizes which were handed over by Hamad Al-Matar, Public Relations assistant manager on behalf of the company's management. The event was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Arjan Real Estate Company and the director of public relations at the Environment Public Authority Dr. Khaled Al-Enezi.
Commenting on the sponsorship of the valuable competition and event, Abdolaziz Al Balool PR Manager of Wataniya Telecom said: “It was our great pleasure to take part in such an important event aiming educating the youth and the general public about means and methods on how to recycle and preserve our precious environment. Recycling is a very important step that we should all be involved in due to the many positive returns we will reap by doing it.”
High talented students from private schools have participated in this recycling competition and proved they can learn through such competitions which will be beneficial to them throughout the rest of their lives. Wataniya is always keen to promote all activities related to environment and further support education sector in Kuwait.
