BlockU
You have full control over your incoming calls and SMS by setting time slots on when you want to receive certain calls or messages with BlockU. You also get SMS notifications on all the calls you receive from blocked numbers.
Benefits
- Choose your incoming calls with the help of an easy mode list
- Activate the Black List to block calls from specified numbers • Activate the White List to receive calls from certain numbers
- The Roaming List allows callers on that list to reach you while you are traveling
- Create groups like friends, family and work. You can add or delete numbers from that list as well
- Choose what message your callers will hear when BlockU is activated. Your choices are busy tone, switched off message, ringing sound, wrong number message. The default tone for this service is the switched off message
To Join
There are three easy ways you can sign up for BlockU
- Dial *121# then select 3 from WMenu and press #5 to receive BlockU
- Send “SUB” to 1718
- Dial 1718 and follow the instructions
- Click here to manage your BlockU profile: Login to your “MyWataniya” account and follow the instructions

What is Block-U service?

You can add up to 10 numbers per list and per group. You can also add different or the same numbers in different lists.

How can I subscribe to Block-U service?
You can subscribe to Block-U service through below mentioned channels:
- USSD
Dial *121# and select Block U from menu. - SMS
Write “SUB” in SMS & send it to 1718 - IVR
Simply dial 1718 and follow the instructions. - WEB
Login to your My Wataniya account through Web and manage your Block U profile with user friendly Web interface.

- Allow all - All calls will be received normally.
- Black list - Black listed callers are the only ones to be blocked.
- White list - White-listed callers are the only ones to be allowed.
- Roaming list - Only roaming-listed caller can call you while you are on roaming.

How will I know if the callers from blocked list called me?
A consolidated notification SMS will be sent at 5 PM daily. You can change your preferences by going into your profile in My Wataniya.

Yes, same number can be added in different lists or groups.

What will happen when the caller in blocked list calls me?
You will not receive that call while the caller will hear the “Not reachable/Switched off” tone by default.
