Validity Extension Service

If you are traveling out of Kuwait for a long period of time, or you are simply not a frequent user, extend the validity of your current balance with the Validity Extension service. Keep your line active for a longer period of time and your number will stay safe.

Simply dial *365*6# from your mobile to activate the service and your line validity will automatically be extended by 180 days (6 months) from your current validity date. This service costs only KD 1 which will be deducted from your balance.

  • What is Validity Extension?

    • Validity Extension is a service exclusively available from Wataniya for all prepaid customers. If a customer is traveling out of Kuwait for a long period of time, or is not a frequent user, he/she can keep their line active and number safe by extending the validity of their current balance for 6 months (180 days).
    The service can be activated simply by dialing *365*6# and costs only KD 1.

  • Is this Service for Prepaid or Postpaid Customers?

    • Validity extension service is available for prepaid customers only.

  • How will Validity Extension work?

    • You can extend the validity of your balance by dialing *365*6# from your Wataniya prepaid line. You no longer need to recharge with big amounts to get longer validities.

  • What are the Charges of Validity Extension?

    • There is a small one-time charge of only KD 1 to extend your validity by 6 months (180 days).

  • What is the difference between Validity Extension & The Normal Recharge Card Validity?

    • With Validity Extension service, your balance validity will be extended for 6 months (180 days) from the current validity date of your balance. As for Recharge Card validity, this varies depending on the amount you charge for and is calculated from the date you’ve made the recharge.

    NOTE: In the case where you use both, the longer validity always applies and you cannot accumulate validities.

    Example: Today is June 30 -2012: you used Validity Extension service and extended your balance by 6 months (180 days), so now your new validity is December 27 -2012.

    Let’s say a few days later on July 5th you recharged your line with a KD5 recharge card which has 90 day validity, this will not change your balance validity, because 180 days is longer - therefore the 180 validity will apply and your credit will be available for usage till December 27th 2012.

  • What is the Maximum Validity that can be Extended?

    • Maximum validity can be extended to 1023 days from current date.

  • What will happen to my Balance?

    • The credit in your balance will remain valid in your account till the new validity date.

  • What will Happen to the Credit Validity in My Bonus Account?

    • The validity of the credit in your bonus account will not change; it will expire as per the normal bonus validity date.
    Your bonus credit account is separate from your main account. Validity extensions do not apply on your bonus account.

  • If I Have Kd 3 Balance valid till 31-July-2012 And I Apply 6 Month validity On 25-June-2012. What will be the validity of My Kd 3 Balance?

    • Current validity (31-July-2012) + 180 days = January 27th 2013 (this is the new validity of your KD3 balance).

  • If I use the Validity Extention Service today (26th June 2012), And On The 31st Of July, I do a Kd 20 Recharge, What will be the Validity of My Balance and My Line? 23-December-2012 Or 31-July-2013?

    • The longer validity always applies. Since KD 20 recharge card gives you a validity of 1 year, which is more than 6 months – then your validity will be 365 days from the day you did the recharge.

    i.e. 31st July 2012 + 365 days = 31st July 2013.

  • If i Buy 6 Months Validity today 26th June 2012, And on the 31st Of July, I do a Kd 5 Recharge which has 90 days Validity. What will be the Validity?

    • KD 5 recharge gives you 90 days validity – while you already have 180 days validity from 26th June. So your validity will not change as the longer validity applies.

  • If I buy 6 Months Validity Today 26th June 2012, and 1 week after, I do a Kd 20 Recharge, what will be the Validity?

    • KD 20 gives you 365 days validity – while you have 180 days validity from 26th June. So your validity will now be updated to 365 days from the date you made the KD 20 recharge, since this KD 20 recharge has a longer validity.
